Michelle joined Wannops in September 2020. She has a background in both family law and civil litigation. Michelle qualified as a solicitor in 1998 after obtaining her law degree at Liverpool University and training with Thomas Eggar. After several years Michelle decided to work in London undertaking predominantly legal aid work when such a thing existed. Even before going to university Michelle had been working as a legal executive in Worthing specialising in family law. Prior to coming to Wannops, and after taking a career break to have her children, Michelle had been working for eight years in a small well respected firm in Hove where she was made a partner. Working for a small firm enabled Michelle to broaden her experience to other aspects of dispute resolution, including cases involving trusts, contracts, property and wills.
Michelle has a passion for all aspects of family law and understands the value of providing advice and support to individuals who are going through a significant and important time in their lives. Michelle is a member of Resolution that encourages amicable resolution.
Michelle has a particular skill in cases involving financial issues which can be complex. As well as divorce and finances, Michelle also undertakes matters involving children, injunctions and cohabitees.
