Paul joined Wannops LLP in October 2018. He is an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and works in Wannops’ dispute resolution team.

Paul’s areas of expertise include loans, store cards, credit cards, catalogues and hire purchase agreements. Paul acts in matters involving setting aside statutory demands involving consumer credit agreements.  He has a comprehensive knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and also helps with sale of goods and distance selling matters. He advises on claims under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 where subject to certain conditions, creditors can be held liable where goods and services are purchased using credit.  He advises clients on compliance issues arising out of default notices, notice of sums in arrears and termination notices and in respect of time orders and other consumer protection measures.

 

Paul has expertise in dealing with Hire Purchase cases where defective goods are purchased on hire purchase terms. He has experience in dealing with “defaults” wrongly placed on consumer’s credit files and he was the leading fee earner in the matter of Grace & Anor v Black Horse Limited.

 

Dealing with debts and litigation can be a stressful experience.   Paul makes the process as stress free as possible.  Paul’s time spent with his partner and two children blends seamlessly with his support of sometime winners of both the FA and League Cups, Southampton F.C.
